Echoes

2012

Inspired by “Freud’s View of the Human Mind: The Mental Iceberg”, a topographical model which represents the configuration of the mind according to the founding father of psychoanalysis. The conscious, preconscious and unconscious levels of our mind are represented by an iceberg, whose visible tip above the water hides a far greater mass under the surface of the ocean. Our memories and stored knowledge live in our pre-consciousness, right underneath the surface, and are the link between our awareness and our own shadows that live in the form of impulses and primitive and uncontrollable drives.
